Once The Office Manager is installed, you can use the application free for up to thirty days. At the end of the thirty day trial period, the web site and administration program will no longer work. To continue using the product, you must purchase a license for your host server. You can see how many days are left in your trial period by selecting Help/About from the top menu in the OfficeAdmin.exe program.
When you purchase a license, you must specify the name of the host server that will be running The Office Manager. To find out the name of your host server, you can run OfficeAdmin.exe on the host server. From the menu across the top of the window, select Settings/Registration. The following screen appears.
The name of your server appears in the first input box and cannot be modified. This is the name you must specify when you purchase and register your site.
When you are ready to license the product for your site, you can do it online at The Office Manager Web Site. As part of the registration process, you will be asked for payment information (via credit card) and various information about your company. You will also have to specify the name of the server (as shown on the screen above). In this example, the server name is c824267-a. The name will be different for your installation.
After submitting this information, you will be sent back a registration number via email. The registration number consists of eight digits broken into two groups of four. To register you site, you must enter this registration number into the input box on this screen. Click OK and a confirmation screen will appear if everything is correct.
If you get any kind of error message, you may have given the wrong server name to us or you may have entered the registration number incorrectly.
Once the registration number has been entered, you can you the product without any time constraints.
When you want to enter a registration number, you must run OfficeAdmin.exe on the host server. You cannot enter a registration number using remote administration.
The Registration Number (and your site license) is valid for a specific server name only. If you move The Office Manager to a different server or change the name of your server, you will need to purchase a new license.
