software partner couldn’t be more excited about FourD. It has “brought
new life to the Ticket Maker Pro. product line."
Tickets.com, formerly Advantix, originally found success back in
1986 with a SPEED based product line.
Before long they had achieved a sizeable market share selling to
theatres around the world. Several
years ago Don realized that his needs were beginning to outgrow the SPEED
product he was currently using. Looking toward the
future Don realized he could become an industry leader if he added some
features and improved the user interface. He quickly realized these
changes could be easily accomplished in the FourD development environment.
With very little
training and programming Tickets.com was able to upgrade to the new FourD
system. Don exclaims, "My programmer can't even think in SPEED any
more!” The new Artsoft line features online and point of sale credit
card ticket sales, optional toll free ticket sales. Most
exciting is the products ability to immediately enter sales from any
source directly into the theatre's accounting system.
Theatres no longer have to set aside a certain portion of tickets
for their different distributors to sell, and they have immediate accurate
information about how shows are selling.
