Without doubt the Northwest regional Girl Scouts Council had years of success with their original TOM Software Custom System. They were using a SPEED 3.x version and kept years of files and data on record at their regional headquarters in Seattle, Washington. The staff knew the software and loved it. But after 10 years of use, SPEED had clearly begun to reach some limitations. Local branches did not have direct access to files they wanted. They had to drive to the main office or make a phone call in order to get the member information they wanted. Which meant someone had to be at the main office for transactions to occur. They loved their TOM System but wanted more.
Upon seeing a FourD demo they immediately agreed to purchased the FourD3.2 Client Server Version. They wanted to maintain their system customizations but needed to keep their old data. The SPEED to FourD conversion allowed them to transfer their data from the old to the new system. Their custom programs came with them to FourD and their employees were experienced in SPEED and needed very little training to make the jump to FourD. It also gave local braches access to the files within the main system. Each local branch was now able to use their entire accounting system and essentially use it as their own remotely. The Conversion was a great success and saved them "truck loads of time and money". |
